Assistant General Manager - Learning and Development

Primary Responsibilities
Planning
- Evaluate individual and organizational development needs to deliver appropriate e-learning courses, workshops, and other training programs. - Ensure that the company meet its objectives by developing & implementing high impact learning & development programs in line with business needs and priorities. - Create training plans to ensure that all employees have the required competencies to excel in their roles.
Delivery
- Deliver training to various verticals of the business and work with various stakeholders to coordinate and organize training sessions. - Develop content based on TNA and get it approved from the Head – L&D. - Make necessary revisions in the training programs (content, delivery mechanism, topics, etc.) based on the feedback and evaluation outcomes to optimize & improve the impact of L&D initiatives - Establish strong partnerships with the business to gain a strong understanding of current business issues and opportunities, as related to learning and development. - Develop the training content and implement various learning methods companywide (e.g.: coaching, job-shadowing, online training, e-learning) which cater to the training needs and goals of employees. - Responsible for rolling out L & D programs for the supervisory, managerial level & leadership level employees across corporate and regions. - Create customized development plans for high-potential employees identified by the Business to equip them to take on leadership roles in the future. - Assist in designing targeted interventions for leadership development and succession planning to build a robust talent pipeline for the organization. - Conduct train-the-trainer workshops to ensure training scalability and effectiveness. - Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in the industry and suggest suitable improvisations that can be introduced within MGD to have best-in-class practices
Materials and Documentation
- Design Storyboard course for the training, develop a course in authoring tool, guide & monitor test, and ensure deployment of course in LMS. - Act as a custodian for all the training documents to enable effective knowledge management. - Review and revise course materials to ensure they are in line with operating processes, procedures, and systems. - Create and share monthly / quarterly / Half – yearly / Yearly L&D report with the top management & business heads.
Internal process
- Ensure that all activities are carried out as per the standard operating procedures (SOPs) in the section. - Review and provide regular and ad-hoc reports to management and other stakeholders as required.
People development
- Drive a performance-driven culture in the team by timely monitoring, review of performance parameters and feedback to the team members. - Contribute towards development of talent for the department by providing subordinates with adequate exposure and growth opportunities. - Actively participate in HR initiatives to drive overall engagement and motivation.
Stakeholder management
- Liaise with various cross functional / business stakeholders for driving changes/updates Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role incumbent from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting manager and HR.
